Average Weather Conditions In Paris France
Unlike areas to North and West of France the weather which have weather very similar to England the weather in Paris has a distinctly central european air about it. This is particularly noticeable in the summer which can be settled and often very warm or hot.
However some winters in Paris can also be cold or very cold when high pressure settles down over northern and eastern europe. In December January and Febuary these conditions can be quite severe with temperatures remaining below zero day and night. Heavy falls of snow are not uncommon though many of these occur are not a permanent feature as they generated by weather fronts bringing milder weather in from the Atlantic.
Statistically December and January have the highest number of wet days with sixteen and seventeen rainy or snowy days respectively. In contrast March April and Febuary are the driest months of the year in Paris. Warm or very warm weather can generally be expected from April onwards.
The hottest months of the year are June July and August when temperatures regularly reach the upper twenties centrigade and can reach the upper thirties. The number of rainy days at this time of year is around twelve in a month a figure which is fairly constant through out the year. However the wettest months of the year in Paris are July and August often as the result of heavy thunderstorms orginatiing from the Bay of Biscay and Spain.
The weather in September and October is frequently warm and mild though it can be chill or cold at night. During November temperatures can drop significantly.
