Clubbers in Prague are spoilt for choice and practically all venues are cheap when compared with leading cities in Western Europe. Many people reckon that the other thing the city has going for is the range of music that these clubs play.
Akropolis Palace Club Prague: Internationally acclaimed Czech cultural venue which occasionally features music nights between exhibitions concerts modern theatre productions. Cloud 9 Club Prague: Well promoted but aptly named club on the 9th floor of Prague's Hilton Hotel - designed to appeal to those 'jolly' types' who like to look down on others and pay dearly for the experience. Decor is impressive and the prescence of professional ladies obvious. The music which finishes at around 2am is loosely Breakbeat Chill-Out Disco House Latino and Jazz. Cross Club Prague: Free thinking underground music club on the ground floor and basement cellar of a house in Prague's old industrial area. The light show here is second to one - it probaly has at least one of every club lighting accessory ever made a 'back to the future ' experience. The music is equally broad with Acid, Beat-Box BreakBeat Dance-Hall Drum'n'Bass Dub Electro FreeTekno Gabba HardCore Hip-Hop Jungle Psychedelic Trance Reggae Ska Techno Tech-Trance Tech-House & Noise-Core. Karlovy Lazne Club Prague: Situated next to the Charles Bridge on the old town side of the river this club is country's largest dance club and is comprised of five clubs on five levels. It is open all night every day of the week and probably one of the fairest priced clubs in Europe with admission charges up to €6 after 9pm but often half price before that. The music featured includes Disco DownTempo Electro Hip-Hop House Music Rap Techno Trance, , RnB, , Chill-Out, 60's, 70's, 80's & Rnb all played by professionlal European DJ's. Club also has a Music Cafe with useful free internet access. Editorial comment: Well run safe club which does not rip clubbers off and is one of Europes gems and a good place for getting taxis afterwards. Matrix Club Prague: A little off the beaten track in Prague 3 this club offers Indie music which is difficult to track down in Prague and reasonably priced draft beer.
