Ljubljana Airport is 26 Km from the centre of Ljubljana. No rail link. The bus service is limited: hourly weekdays and every two hours at weekends.

Public Transport In Ljubljana
Public Transport in Ljubljana is provide entirely by a network of over 20 bus routes. These services generally operate from 5am until 23.00. Some services do not operate on Sundays.
The route maps accompanying the timetables at bus stops can be difficult to interpret and it is advisable to seek help from where ever you are staying or the tourist information centre before setting out. You can also get help from the main bus station which is opposite the central railway station. Telephone 090 4230.
During the day the services are very regular and all routes operate on a flat fare basis. Single tickets cost approx 125€ . They can be purchased from the driver if you have the exact money. Alternatively you may purchase a token (zetoni) at kiosks and the Post Office and put it in the box on board the bus. This method is about 33% cheaper.
Ljubljana Card
The Ljubljana Card provides free transport on all of the city's buses plus free admission to most of the city's museums. It also is accepted by over a 100 business who will give cardholders a discount on their services.
These include sightseeing tours accommodation meals and discounts in shops. A ljubljana card costs 13.5€ as valid for 72 hours from the time you purchase it.
