Public Transport in Ljubljana is provide entirely by a network of over 20 bus routes. These services generally operate from 5am until 23.00. Some services do not operate on Sundays.
The route maps accompanying the timetables at bus stops can be difficult to interpret and it is advisable to seek help from where ever you are staying or the tourist information centre before setting out. During the day the services are very regular and all routes operate on a flat fare basis. Single tickets cost approx 125€ . They can be purchased from the driver if you have the exact money. Alternatively you may purchase a token (zetoni) at kiosks and the Post Office and put it in the box on board the bus. This method is about 33% cheaper.
