The airport and central downtown/ Stockholm are served by trains and buses. The trains leave from Arlanda Central station beneath Sky City between terminals 4 and 5.. By rail the journey takes 29 minutes. The buses leave from bus stop number 13 outside terminals 2, 4 or 5. Bus tickets purchased on the buses must be paid for in cash. Prepaid tickets that can be paid for by cash or credit card are available at ticket desks in the arrival halls.
Train tickets are sold in TiM ticket machines if you are using a credit card ), or in Sky City at the SJ ticket desk . Train tickets e bought on the trains are, more expensive.
Public Transport In Stockholm

Bus routes are divided into several categories. Blue bus lines serve the centre of Stockholm and the inner city. Services from Central Stockholm to the outer suburbs are also blue. Bus services which are red are concentrated on central Stockholm.
There are three metro lines - the Red line, the Blue and the Green line. There are three suburban rail services and three light rail services. The latter use track formerly designated for tram services which with the exception of Line 7 which is a heritage line have been discontinued.
In 2007 a new three zone system was introduced for all public transport in Stockholm. Under this system single tickets were withdrawn as was the option of purchasing ticket on the transport concerned. Pre paid coupons for single journeys are available. The system promotes travel cards for periods of 24, 72 hours, 7 days or monthly durations. Longer seasonal & annual options are available. Visitors should note that all metro and central bus services are in Zone A.
