Airport Transfers Travel From Bratislava Airport To Central Bratislava and Vienna
Bratislava Airport is 10 Lm from Central Bratislava. Bus 61 will take you to the main railway station departing every 10 -20 minutes Tickets have to bought at the machine in the departures hall or at the bus stop. The journey takes 25 minutes or 15 minutes by taxis. Bratislava is 50 km from central Vienna.
Trains for Vienna depart from the central railway station take bus 61- see above. Eurolines provide a service from central Bratislava to Vienna.
By coach the journey takes approximately 90 minutes. From Bratislava airport. Ryanair offers its customers in conjunction with Terravision a coach service for €9.
Bratislava has a good network of public transport which includes buses, trolley buses and trams. All routes operate on a flat-fare system which require tickets to be purchased in advance of travel. Blue badges at bus stops indicate a night service. Tickets must be punched in the appropriate machine on boarding the tram or bus.
Tickets cost less than .50€ One day tickets are available. These can be purchased from machines at the bus stops or from newspaper stands / booths.
Plain clothes inspectors travel on all routes and will as in Prague without mercy issue on the spot fines for anyone without a punched ticket.
Taxis: These are all metered and relatively cheap. At night the fares are higher.
