These zones are regional - for example Finland Norway and Sweden are constituent countries of Zone B.

Which Survey Slams National Rail Enquiries

National Rail Enquiries call centre staff could only answer five out of 20 questions about prices and routes when polled by the consumer magazine Otherwise the staff were "consistently patient, friendly and polite" according to, Which? The Association of Train Operating Companies, who provide the service service, said the poll did not give a true picture but it took any critism seriously.

Notable responses to the questions included the operator who did not where Cambridge was but thought it was near Birmingham, whilst one researcher was offered a ticket from Manchester to London for £182 instead of £52. Another operator asked how far Cheltenham station was from the town centre could not find either on his computer. Editorial Comment: Could not find Cheltenham disgraceful I was born there!
