Airport Facilities  Copenhagen Kastrup Airport is a clean efficient airport and makes good provision for disabled visitors with wheelchair friendly toilets, special parking bays and induction loops that work. ATM machines are available in all terminals, with banking facilities in terminal 2. Between terminal 2 & 3 there is a Post Office and a left luggage office. To borrow one you from the 120 pick up and drop off points you will need a 20 Kr coin which is returned to you when you park the bike at the end of your journey. Bus Services in Copenhagen Buses in Copenhagen generally run from 5am – midnight with night buses operating between 1am and 5am. Bus stops for all services are yellow. There is a special Harbour Bus service to the Little Mermaid Sculpture in the harbour from the Opera House in the city centre.

Each bus stop or station identifies which zone you are in. There are also maps which denote the zone your destination is in. The minimum fare will be for a two zone journey. Your ticket for your journey allows you to combine rail and bus travel. Children 11 and under travel for half price.

Fares: Tickets can be purchased from bus drivers, kiosks ticket offices and  vending machines The cheapest ticket is a two zone ticket which is valid for one hour. costing 24 kr for adults or 12 Kr for children under 16. The tickets are only valid for the zone you buy them in and one of the adjacent zones  You can use the ticket on as buses or metro services as you wish during the hour that it is valid for. This is determined by the time stamped on it. A fare paying adult is allowed to take two children under the age of eleven with them free of charge, These tickets are also valid on night buses. Day passes are also available from 130 kr.

The openhagen Card  These one or three day travel passes for Copenhagen cost 228kr or 459 kr respectively and offer free admission to over 50 museums and attractions. Generally this card i represents good value especially as those using it do not need to understand the somewhat complex zone system. However please note that many of the establishments that give free admission  to visitors with it are actually closed on Sundays and Mondays.

Fare Evasion  Plain clothed ticket officers operate on all public transport services in Copenhagen. Anyone traveling without a valid ticket (ie time stamped) will be fined on the spot. The penalty is 750 Kr for rail and metro services and 600 Kr for bus services,

Taxis In Copenhagen All legal  taxis in Copenhagen have a meter which should start running when you begin your journey and be switched off when you reach your destination. You are entiltled to a printed receipt for your showing the name and  address of the taxis company, the taxis licence number, the distance travelled and the price charged.

Taxis in Copenhagen operate on a tariff system  and each cover up to four passengers:  Tariff 1 applies Mon-Fridays between 07am. and 4pm @ : DKK 12.50 per km.

Tariff 2 applies Mondays-Thursdays between 4pm. and 07am, and on Friday between 4pm. and 11pm and  on  Saturdays-Sundays between 07 a.m. and 11 p.m. ): DKK 13.50 per km

Tariff 3 (Friday and Saturday nights between 11p.m. and 7am/  It also applies on 5th June on public holidays and New Years eve. DKK 16.80 per kilometre.
