Bus Services In Stockholm Stockholm has an extensive Bus system much of covers area not served by the metro. Bus services which are red are concentrated on central Stockholm and services run at between 8-20 minute intervals. The four main inner city bus routes which are blue are numbered 1 to 4 and these buses run frequently at intervals of 3- 10 minutes. Tram Services In Stockholm Tram services in Stockholm were with drawn in the 1960’s when the country changed to driving on the left hand side of the road. Fares And Tickets on Bus Metro and Rail Services In Stockholm  A three zone system operates on  all public transport in Stockholm. Visitors should note that all metro and central bus services are in Zone A. You cannot buy tickets or purchase a ticket  on the transport you wish to uses. A 24 hour card should cost 115 SEK, a weekly pass is 300 SEK and a 30 day Travel Card for all means of Public transportation is good value at 790 SEK. There are substantially reduced ticket prices for those under the age of 20 and over the age of 65. Failure to have a valid ticket when ask to produce it will result in you paying a penalty fare of 1,200 SEK

For children aged 7-17 years of age a 24 hour card is 215 SEK, 48 HOUR is 255 SEK, 72 hours is 255 SEK and a 5 day card costs 120 SEK.

Taxis Services In Stockholm Authorized Taxi companies all have yellow license plates. You can usually negotiate the price with your driver before you begin your journey. However before stepping in a Stockholm Taxi check the Yellow price sign on the rear window first. Taxi drivers are within their legal rights to charge extortionate prices if the price is on the car. The price tag should read about 300 SEK on a typical Stockholm cab.

Most companies have a fixed price scheme from the centre of Town to Arlanda Airport. A journey in to town costs about 450-500 SEK. The Taxi’s often have big stickers advertising their price to the Airport, but do no not confuse this with the Black and Yellow Price sticker mentioned above.
