Bus Services To And From Zagreb Airport  Their first Airport Bus service leaves the airport at 7 am and there are then buses generally leave at 30 minute intervals between 8 am and 8 pm for the rest of the day. A single ticket to the city centre will cost 30 Kuna [4.2 Euro’s].  The bus takes you  from the Airport to Zagreb’s main Bus station.
Taxis To And From Zagreb Airport  The standard taxis fare from  the Airport to the city centre is 150 Kuna’s[£20].  Radio Taxi Zagreb have fleets of cars available at the Airport ready to take you to the city centre.

Information On Public Transport in Zagreb

The Public Transport in Zagreb has been modernised s generally very efficient and modernised.  Their system consists of Trams, Buses and trains.
Bus Services In Zagreb   Bus stops are identified by blue signs with a picture of a bus. There are 113 day bus routes. . The ZET buses routes extend from the city centre to the suburbs.. Most buses services operate from 4 am to just before midnight every day.
Night Buses In Zagreb  There are four night bus routes in Zagreb.
Tram Services In Zagreb This rather remarkable Tram system operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. There are  15 routes and some of the services  some which begin as early as 4 am. Most tram services finish between 11.30pm and midnight. Tram Line no 3 doesn’t operate on Saturday’s Sunday’s and public holiday’s.
Night Tram Services In Zagreb There are four night tram routes in Zagreb.which run every 30 -40 minutes between midnight until 4am.
Bus And Tram Fares And Tickets In Zagreb  A single ticket costs 10 Kuna’s[ 1.3 Euro’s] and is valid for 1 and a half hours. Tickets can be purchased at Kiosks. Tickets must be stamped when you board. in the orange machine.  A ticket bought from the driver will cost you more at 2 Euro’s.  24 hour tickets are available for 25 Kuna’s. Being caught without a ticket can be a very costly and uncomfortable experience.
Rail Services In Zagreb  The Trains are run by Croatian Railway’s [Hrvatske and Zeljeznice] and run every 15 minutes from north to west. The services connect the Suburban areas of Zagreb with the city centre. Trains are usually the quickest means of Transportation. Tickets A single fare will cost you in the region of 15 Kuna’s.
Coach Services In Zagreb The central station is called Autobusni Kolodvor  and has an information centre open 24 hours a day. There are daily connections to nearby areas such as Split, Zadar and Varazdin, leaving at 30 minute intervals.  There are numerous Croatian and International Coach services  which cover all the major domestic and international European cities. London, Paris, Amsterdam as well as major cities in Germany, Slovakia, Italy, Switzerland, Bosnia, Serbia and Macedonia are all covered.
Seats can be booked on the phone by ringing 060 313 333  If you are in central Zagreb and you order your tickets  at 3 pm your tickets will be delivered to you by 8 pm that evening.
Taxis Services In Zagreb Taxi’s should be avoided unless completely necessary as it is the most expensive means of transportation in a city which has a highly efficient Public Transportation system. Zagreb has just four reliable Taxi companies:
Radio Taxi Zagreb who have a fixed rate of 4.90 Kuna’s per KM. There are additional fees for Luggage with each extra piece costing you another 0.4 Euro’s. Taxi Cammeo has a starting rate of  2 Euro’s which includes 2 free Kilometres. Unfortunately Cammeo are not certified to pick up passengers from the Airport. Ring 1212 to use their services.Oryx Taxi are renowned yet expensive. Phone 1888 for their services. EkoTaxi have a starting rate of 8.80 Kuna’s and charge 5 Kuna’s per KM.
Zagreb Card A Zagreb card can represent pretty good value for visitors. This card offers free travel on all  of Zagreb’s public transport and substantial discounts or free admission on almost all of the city’s museums and attractions as well as many shops, restaurant’s and other concessions. A ticket is valid for 72 hours and will cost you  90 Kuna’s [12 Euro’s].
