Accommodation in Paris

Reviews Of Hotels & Apartments In Paris

Paris rarely gets fully booked even in healthier times – though Valentine breaks can make it difficult to get a deal really good deal. Prices at Paris hotels are expensive which means the more expensive they are the more room there is for negotiation. When you are quoted a price do no accept it just say and what is the price with a discount. If you not comfortable having this conversation on the phone its probably easier to do it by email. The advantage of doing it by email is that when you get a reply you can take your time replying making the hotelier think they have lost the sale. So when you ask for the discount they be glad to have another chance! One another thing check the room size before you book we reckon the some of the hotels have some of the smallest rental rooms in Western Europe.

Apartments in Paris in compared with hotels are far better value. A rough guide to this might be is take the average price of a hotel for example €100 for a double and workout two thirds of the cost ie 100 divide by 3 and multiply by 2 = €66 per night and that’s before you ask for a discount! Apartments booked through agencies may be 5 -10% higher. One thing you should be aware of is that many apartments in Paris especially those booked through an agency require you to stay for a minimum of three nights but if you ask you might just get lucky. Apartments in Paris are usually furnished to a high standard and some are a little colourful. In central Paris many are very Bohemian and much more subtle if your on a romantic break.
